Places to eat

The Dawnay Arms – Pub Food, #1 place to eat in Malton

Customers review for The Dawnay Arms – We have just been to the Pub for lunch and it was smashing. Having been shielding since the beginning of March, going out was a new experience. The lady who met us when we arrived, could not have been more pleasant. We sat outside in the garden which was really nicely tended. The food was great, my husband more than enjoyed his first pint out and we will definitely be going back very soon. Everyone is really nice and cheerful, the food is great, there is no problem with covid restrictions not being in place. Highly recommend.

The New Malton – Pub

The Ham and Cheese Inn – Pub

Customers review for The Ham and Cheese inn – Great home cooked food great atmosphere with lovely friendly staff, what more could you ask for reasonably priced great selection of real ale?? Yep you have that too, can’t fault the place,

Floris Pizzeria Restaurant – Italian

Customers review for Floris Pizzeria – Came here tonight with my friends and boyfriend while on holiday in the local area. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best pastas I’ve ever had! They also made my boyfriend’s birthday feel very special, thank you to the staff for their lovely service!

El Gringos – Mexican

Customers review for El Gringos – We went on a Sunday evening and it was pretty busy all things considered with the Covid situation. The cocktails we had were great and the food was even better. It was everything we expected and more and the staff were really friendly and welcoming

Spice4U – Indian

Customers review for Spice4U – Haven’t been here for a while and usually have a takeaway when in this part of the world. On this occasion was struggling to get a walk in table in town but their loss was Spice4U’s gain. The restaurant was busy but well spaced to allow for current Covid needs but we were still offered a nice table and not stuck In a corner of by the toilets.

We knew the food would be very good, having had the takeaways before now, and so it proved to be. Wide choice on the menu and spice level adjusted to meet my requests. Service attentive but not intrusive. A very pleasant evening out.
