Customer Review – My partner and I visited last Thursday, it was our first meal out post lockdown and we were not disappointed. We both shared the porterhouse steak and it was cooked to perfection and easily the best steak I’ve ever eaten. We’ve been once before for my partners birthday and neither time have we been disappointed. Food and service was amazing and we will definitely been returning.

Things To Do In Beverley

Beverley Minster

Beverley Minster is a Church of England Parish Church – the largest in England. Founded in 700 AD, the current building was completed in 1400. On Mondays to Saturdays we are open 9.00 – 5.30 (April – October), and 9.00 – 4.00 (November – March) Sunday worship is at 8.00, 10.30 and 5.30, and the Minster is open in between times. The Shop is open Monday – Saturday. Admission is free. ‘Serve yourself’ refreshments available.

Customer Review – A lovely building with Cathedral like architecture and a very impressive west front. Very helpful volunteers and informative placards round the building describing the history of the Minster. Unique historic font, good gift shop, well worth a visit.

East Riding Treasure House

The East Riding Treasure House is a heritage centre providing museum, library and archive facilities under one roof, plus access to the adjoining Edwardian exhibition spaces of the Beverley Art Gallery. The Treasure House tower provides splendid views over the rooftops of Beverley.

Customer Review – Art, history, archives, events and a smart café – all under one roof. What’s not to like about this small but perfectly formed building close to the centre of town? The museum space traces the history of Beverley, the aesthetically pleasing gallery is currently showcasing a retrospective of the painter John Sprakes and in between them is photographer Peter Heaton’s Reading The Landscape: Photographs and Words Inspired By Walking the Wolds (albeit a few too many distracting words).
Take the stairs (or the lift) to the top floor viewing gallery for a great overview of the area.
All in all great way to spend a couple of hours – and learn a lot.

East Riding Theatre – Subject to COVID 19

ERT is a vibrant, professional theatre located in a converted Baptist chapel in Beverley. Founded by actor and Beverley resident Vincent Regan and achieved through a huge community effort, the theatre opened its doors for the first time in December 2014. It has since delivered an eclectic programme of quality theatre, music and entertainment to the people of HU17 and beyond.

Customer Review – Visited Beverley to go to a performance given by Mark Radcliffe at this lovely theatre. Mark Radcliffe is a wonderful performer who we have seen many times before so were quite happy to travel over a hundred miles just to see him. Had not been there before and was amazed to see it. In a previous incarnation it had been a chapel and has been lovingly restored and converted to this super theatre. Not only is it an excellent performing space but it also has a great cafe and bar, has good seating and excellent sound. We enjoyed the performance so much that we book for another afternoon concert a few days later. Can’t praise the staff enough, they were very friendly and helpful and the only real drawback is the waiting area before the audience are let into the auditorium. The weather was not good on one of the days we visited and before the auditorium was opened there was hardly any room to stand. Apart from this it is a perfect venue and we will not hesitate to visit it again if we are in the area.

Parkway Cinema Beverley

Located in the Flemingate shopping centre a few minutes walk from the town centre, we present the very best of the current screen releases, from the family blockbusters you expect, to more adventurous films you might not. We pride ourselves on offering exceptional service, and genuine hospitality. Together with live shows, birthday parties and private hire, we are proud to offer more than just movies.

Customer Review – We booked and paid over the phone a few days in advance using the Meerkat 2 for 1 ticket deal which was very easy. On arrival we realised there was a café upstairs next to the ticket collection section, having had a drink in the nearby Greggs we didn’t utilise this today but it looked well-presented and spacious.
Our tickets were waiting for us at reception and once inside screen 4 we were very impressed by the comfort of the seating as well as the size and spacing of the well upholstered seats. Even with someone in-front there is plenty of separation so you have an unobstructed view. The sound was really clear and the clarity of the picture was excellent, we really enjoyed the entire experience and all for the price of just one ticket. The toilet facilities were also top notch, spotlessly clean and both had soap/hand cream and hot air jet hand dryers.
Although the cinema is over twenty miles away from home this will be somewhere we shall certainly come back to again and again.

Customer Review – Easy to find and lots of parking, it’s a nice size and has stalls catering for everybody. It’s nice that there are still markets going that promote independent trading. Shops are also open for a bit of variety. We take dogs around stalls and had no problems. Recommended
