On this day in 1969. We landed on the moon!

We did indeed, with ‘one small step’ earth made history on the 20th of July. Letting our minds wander to what can be seen in the expanse of space. 

With all our parks located in stunning locations which hold breathtaking views, there is one view that can easily be missed.

The sky is such a beautiful sight, with spectacular light shows, glimpses of planets passing by, the expanse of twinkling stars and of course the moon itself. You will notice something new every time you simply look up.

Stargazing Top tips:

  1. Makes sure the moon full in a cloudless sky, so check the moon phases before you pick a spot or set up camp on your decked area.
  2. Bring a compass, makes constellations easier to spot! To cheat a little, there are lots of apps that can help you find a constellation
  3. Remember your camera as you will want to document the beauty of the night sky.
  4. Stargaze at all times of the year, the sky is constantly changing. Having your holiday lodge or static will make that a lot easier.

For those who are beginners at stargazing! The easiest star to find is Polaris or the north star. Heres How!

1. Find the Ursa Major (the plough or big dipper), you cant miss it, it looks like a saucepan.

2. Then follows its tail (or handle) parallel to the star and you will find Ursa Minor (little bear or little dipper) and there it will be.

Tada, you’ll know its the Polaris as its the brightest star in the collection.

Considering purchasing a brand new lodge?

The first Consideration needs to be picking a location that is right for you.

  • How far do you want to travel?
  • What amenities would you like at a park?
  • Whats the area local to the park like?
  • What surrounding scenery would you wish to wake up to on holiday?

When you have decided this you can then pick a park!

A very important question indeed! YES, our Parks are dog friendly with mapped out areas for comfort of your pet. However, for cat lovers this is difficult as we are located on sites of conservation. This is a question to ask the park managers directly.

How are lodges built? Are the warm? Will they withstand British weather?

All our Lodges are Built with 5 layers of protection. From insulation to bonded moisture barriers, making sure your lodge is a comfortable as possible.

Lodges as standard are clad in timber. Creating a stunning classic finish, timber cladding has maintenance involved. These lodges involve maintenance every year your lodge to ensure that you reseal and protect it from the elements.

However, here at Coastline Leisure we offer a solution that may interest you …. CanExel !

What is CanExel?

CanExel is a composite cladding made from wood fibre, resin and wax fused under pressure and finished in your chosen colour which consists of five coats of baked on paint.

Wanting no maintenance? This is the option for you!

This makes this style of cladding simple to maintain. It provides increase resistance to splitting, warping, splintering and buckling. With a 10 year guarantee!

Some of the lodges we show have CanExel as standard however for most, this is an extra so consider there will be an extra charge on the lodge price.

Lastly a third consideration before coming to see us is the PARK FEES!.  

Yes there is a park fee every year after purchasing your lodge. As well as Maintenance bills for the use of electricity, water etc. Remember different parks have different fees due to location. Depending on what park suits you best, all information will be explained our friendly team on site.

This LUXURY lodge is 42ft long’ by 14foot’ wide with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Tingdene Valetta 2011 lodge has patio doors to the front, opening on to a nice wooden balcony. The lodge is clad in a timber exterior with woodgrain window and door frames. It is also fully double-glazed and comes with central Heating throughout.

Inside its been FULLY REFURBISHED and newly decorated including BRAND NEW fitted carpets throughout.

As you can see from the pictures , it has a cream gloss kitchen with a dishwasher, hob, extractor fan and a freestanding fridge freezer.
